In this Casual Coffee Conversation I get to sit down with Christine Hansen, National Association of REALTORS®, 2025 1st Vice President and owner broker of Century 21 Hansen Realty.

Christine is a second-generation real estate owner-broker of Century 21 Hansen Realty in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She brings thirty-six years of experience as she steps into her new role as 2025 first vice president of NAR. In addition to real estate, Christine is a life coach and works to help people reach their full potential personally and professionally, which I did not learn until after this interview. What's sweet is as you watch or listen you can get a sense of that calm leadership passion within her.

Christine and I sit down and talk about her leadership experience in NAR. Christine shares her pathway of service, from a Liaison to Realty Party Director, to VP of Advocacy. She shares the wisdom of saying “no” to being too busy while also staying open and prepared yourself for a position to say “yes” to a future opportunity. We talked about the importance of putting yourself out there to try something in a new area while giving yourself grace in the learning process, and extending grace to others.

Christine talks about how leadership growth is recognizing the motivation of those who are in service. If they have an Abundance mindset or feel like they are lacking something and need to be filled which can result in sometimes having difficult conversations. She shares the importance of having open and honest conversations that help clear any misconceptions and build stronger relationships.

Christine shares a desire for her 2025 1st Vice President goal that members think NAR is "us" and "we" collectively we are a unified body to work together for the greater good of the organization, and how to be apart of the solution. We round the conversation with identifying our superpowers.
